| As you are aware construction of the new State Route 161 has been occurring for some time now. Parts of the new road are beginning to open and eventually the corridor will be fully open, passing directly through Jersey Township. With the completion of this project will come increased pressure for development. It is within the power of the residents of Jersey Township to shape the direction in which this development occurs. Jersey Township leaders are being proactive by developing a Comprehensive Plan that will help shape the way the Township looks. We cannot do this with out your input. Your thoughts and opinions will serve as an integral part of the planning process. |

| What is a Comprehensive Plan? A Comprehensive Plan is a road map to be used by the Jersey Township Government when making decisions regarding the development of your Township. Developing a Comprehensive Plan involves collecting as much data as possible, analyzing survey results, conducting public meetings to gather input, and a final vote and acceptance by the Township Trustees before the plan is put into effect. |

| |
| Residents, land and business owners and others having an interest in the future of Jersey Township are invited to a public meeting on February 12, 2009 at 7:00pm at the Jersey Baptist Church, 13260 Morse Road, Pataskala. The purpose of this meeting is to explain the results of the recently completed Community Survey and gather input regarding development, water and sewer availability, annexation and other issues facing the Township.
