April 21, 2012 Newark Earth Day Clean Up There will be an Earth Day Clean Up event held in Newark on April 21, 2012, from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm. Please report to the courthouse gazebo at 8:30 am to register. Volunteers will assist in making Newark City, Newark City Parks and part of the city’s bike path a safer and more environmentally friendly place for families of Licking County.
April - May Community Clean Up Projects Village, cities, and communities are requesting volunteers to participate in community clean up projects all over Licking County. May 4, 2012 Dinner-Fundraiser for Natural Resources Area Dinner-Fundraiser for the Natural Resources Area at the Hartford Fairgrounds, 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012. This dinner will feature locally-grown and gathered food prepared by Chef Jessica Karr and C-TEC students. Funds will be used for educational programs and additional improvements to the area. May 18-19, 2012 Computer Recycling Event The Licking County Computer Society will sponsor a Computer Recycling Event on May 18th and 19th. Please take your old computers, faxes, printers, monitors, ink cartridges, batteries, and cell phones to the south side of Contour Forming (former Heisey Factory) on the corner of Oakwood Ave. and Chester St., Newark. We are committed to providing recycling opportunities to our community, while teaching all ages how and why to recycle and care for the community. In order to meet this goal, our drop off program offers recycling trailers at 25 locations. Our department also provides several special collections throughout the year. Licking County Recycling also provides speakers to any organization or educational programs to all Licking County schools. |

| Our programs are funded through the CFLP Solid Waste District and the Licking County Commissioners. |

| Licking County Recycling is a member of the CFLP Solid Waste District. We partner with Coshocton, Fairfield and Perry County to manage solid waste disposal and recycling on a multi-county level. There are 52 solid waste districts in Ohio. |
